Josh Klinghoffer is a former guitarist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He joined in early 2010 after John Frusciante's second departure from the band, although he's been a friend of the band since the late 90's and he had played with the band previously in 2007 for the Stadium Arcadium Tour.

Additionally, he is the frontman of the band Dot Hacker, multi-intrumentalist and recording and touring session player for artists such as PJ Harvey and Gnarls Barkley. He's also played drums and guitar in the band Warpaint for a period of time and recorded with them on certain tracks on their EP 'Exquisite Corpse'.

He became the youngest person to have ever been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when the Red Hot Chili Peppers were inducted on April 14, 2012.

On December 15th, 2019, the band confirmed that they had parted ways with Klinghoffer and that John Frusciante would be returning once again to the band in his place.[1]
